Greenberg, New York, 1932.Fair condition hardcover, 315 pages, First edition (NAP), edges are worn, front hinge is cracked, lower 2/3 of spine cover is missing, but text block is complete and binding is holding. The author was a Jazz age New Yorker who published a few very interesting novels and a play before passing away at age 24. His novel Goldie Goes Along was made into a movie. That was a pre-code, racy, female-empowering movie and this novel is much the same, with a plot similar to the movie Working Girl. The only copies of this book appearing on the web are Economy Club reprints with substantial asking prices, thus my pricing.
