With Notes and References by John Raithby. Born in 1766, Raithby was a English lawyer, who practised in the court of equity, Court of Chancery. CONDITION In half leather binding. Externally, rubbed. There is some wear to the extremities including bumping to the corners, rubbing to the edges of the boards and discoloration to the boards and spines. The boards on all three volumes are detached and present. The pages have been rough cut. There are rubber stamp marks to the front pastedowns. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally clean and bright with the occasional handling mark and some spotting. With notations by John Raithby. Raithby was an eighteenth century lawyer who was admitted a member of Lincoln’s Inn and subsequently called to the bar. CONDITION In a quarter leather binding with cloth covered boards. There is some wear to the extremities including bumping to the corners and edges of the boards, some tears to the paper covers and some marks to the boards. The binding is fairly tight and firm with all pages attached. The front board and first blank end paper are present and attached to each other but detached from the volume. The spine is creased and discoloured, with the title written on it in ink. The pages have been rough cut. Internally the pages are clean and bright with the occasional handling mark and odd spot. There is a rubber stamp to the front pastedown.
