This is an 1800 page complete Urtext, the original typing of A Course In Miracles long before the editing that removed over 40,000 words and many whole pages of dictation. This was carried out to the west coast by Helen and Bill and shown to a few friends who copied it in Marin and immediately began to study it in meetings. This copy was found in my long search through Marin newspaper ads! This is a laser output from a scan of the original so no further degradation occurs. Because it is so large, I have it printed two pages per sheet and double sided to get it down to nearly one full ream of paper. Then it is Velobinded with small plastic pins and protective covers so it can sit nicely on a shelf. This is the original or early typing by Bill or one of the early re-typings by Helen herself. It has her handwritten notes on the pages! As well as a few pages of post-it note sized note pages at the end. Comprised by Text, Workbook, Manual and Special Messages (about 45 pages of personal messages to Helen), plus the few small handwritten Post-It notes by Helen. It's wonderful to hold the early original document that has the original material with the dates of the scribing showing you what came on which day and year. Also shows how Helen was comforted throughout this huge project. Did you know there were originally more than 50 miracle principles? And those miracle principles came to Helen in over 100 pages? The published edition has it edited down to 6 pages, much of the information distributed throughout the final draft, much deleted as too personal to Helen or Bill's life. This scribing mentions Freud, Cayce, Hitler, sex, and many other topics and terms that were filtered out for mass market publishing. Some seems to me (a 28-year ACIM student) suitable to have been included. All of it is the familiar loving confident Voice of ACIM. Truly wonderful. Reinvigorates my ACIM study each time I study it.
