Destination Spooner: Sectional Basketball 1972-1990. By Carlo Kumpula. This long-awaited book chronicles the memorable Class B and Class C sectional tournaments held in Spooner, Wisconsin from 1972-1990 from which each winner advanced to the state tournament in Madison. 59 different schools from throughout northern and western Wisconsin participated in the 35 tournaments (BOTH Class B and Class C from 1975-1990) held annually at legendary Antholz Gymnasium. This book is a follow-up to author's first book, "When All Roads Led to Spooner", about the one-class tournament held from 1943-1971. Author is a retired teacher, coach, and official who is widely known as the historian of the Spooner Sectional. Brackets, team profiles, game stories, and relevant statistics.
