Reuben Hyde Walworth (October 26, 1788 – November 27, 1867) was an American lawyer, jurist and politician. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reuben_H._Walworth for more detail. John A. Roebling was also the designer of the Brooklyn bridge. Foldouts have tears along creases of panels as well as old tape repairs in some cases. Some are detached as well. The first two issues of Gleason’s, the first large format weekly pictorial newspaper, features extensive coverage of the first trial under the newly enacted Fugitive Slave Law. A mob of abolitionists tried to free Simms from custody resulting in the siege of the Federal courthouse in Boston.
