New Ritual of the Order Eastern Star 1955 /56 HC 167 pages in very good condition. Hardbook with no dust cover, the pages are clean with no tears or markings. A few pages have modest barely visible creased corners. (see photos). From Wikipedia: The Order of the Eastern Star is a Masonic appendant body open to both men and women. It was established in 1850 (173 years ago) by lawyer and educator Rob Morris, a noted Freemason, and adopted and approved as an appendant body of the Masonic Fraternity in 1873. The order is based on some teachings from the Bible,[1] and is open to people of all religious beliefs. It has approximately 10,000 chapters in twenty countries and approximately 500,000 members under its General Grand Chapter. Originally published in 1890, the cover page says the book was amended in 1955, with publish date 1956. This book is an interesting and collectible item for those interested in religion, rites and culture. Included are some particular quotes from the book types on note cards by a former owner.
