This early printing, likely the first book club edition printing, is one of 5000 copies published by Wynwood Press which was prior to the later printing by Doubleday. Book club editions will not have the same identifying marks as a “true first edition” due to the nature of book club prints. This copy will not show traditional first edition evidence, although with some research one could be confident in the scarceness of this particular edition.
